Overview
Bleed Control training equips your team with the critical skills and confidence to manage life-threatening bleeding incidents before emergency services arrive. In the critical minutes following a traumatic injury, bystander intervention can be the difference between life and death. Our certified instructors deliver practical, scenario-based training aligned with national haemorrhage control guidelines.
Designed for security personnel, first responders, and any workplace team that may face a medical emergency, this course provides hands-on experience with tourniquets, wound packing, pressure dressings, and casualty positioning.
What the Course Covers
- Understanding catastrophic haemorrhage and why speed matters
- Identifying life-threatening bleeds and triaging casualties
- Correct application of tourniquets (including CAT and SOFTT-W)
- Wound packing techniques using haemostatic gauze
- Pressure dressings and improvised methods
- Junctional bleeds and non-compressible wounds
- Casualty monitoring and handover to paramedic teams
- Psychological preparedness and acting under stress
